Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation

On Wednesday 13th October, on behalf of the Lieutenancy, Deputy Lieutenant, Perdita Hunt OBE, presented Simran’s with a Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation.

Simran’s the post office and convenience story in Farncombe, describes itself as having local, independent loyalty.  During the Covid pandemic, Chirag Sidhpura and his team continued to provide a service every single day, except once when the shop had to be sanitized.  Sometimes they would open at 5am and close at 10pm.  Papers were delivered come rain, snow or shine and there was always a warm welcome.  When the pandemic resulted in people having very little access to company and provisions, Simran’s provided a beam of light to the local community.
