The Lord-Lieutenant recognises the importance and value of education across our county, for all ages and at all levels. 

Support is given, and visits made, by the Lieutenancy to state and independent schools delivering primary and secondary education, including pupils with Special Educational Needs, and to alternative learning providers; to colleges of further and higher education, and adult learning establishments; and to the county’s three universities, Royal Holloway University of London at Egham, the University of Surrey, Guildford and the University of Creative Arts in Farnham and Epsom.
