1st Claygate Scout and Guide Band annual concert
Holy Trinity Church in Claygate was packed on Saturday 16th March with those people lucky enough to attend the 1st Claygate Scout and Guide Band annual concert.
Led by band Leader Robin Wilkinson OBE and Assistant Band Leaders Emma Smith and Sam Mitchell, the concert and marching band entertained the audience with an incredible variety of music. Around 50 young people from eight years old upwards showcased the breadth of the band’s repertoire including traditional marches, classical numbers and music from film and television.
Deputy Lieutenant Mary Zoeller attended the concert on behalf of the Lord Lieutenant. She said: “The amount of talent in this band is astonishing. Robin Wilkinson led them with enthusiasm and inspiration and the audience loved every minute. I was delighted to be asked to attend the concert and look forward to seeing the band perform again at events later on in the year.”
