Brockham Emergency Response Team celebrations

On Friday, 28th June the Lord Lieutenant visited Brockham Emergency Response Team (BERT) to recognise their 10th anniversary and to present a Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation to their  volunteers for everything they did (and continue to do) during the Covid pandemic. 

Also attending, were representatives from Surrey County Council, More to Mole Valley, Mole Valley District Council, Brockham Parish Council, Brockham Bonfire, Brockwood Medical Practice and North Downs Primary School. 

The Lord Lieutenant also presented three Special Recognition Awards to three local young people who had demonstrated a value close to BERT’s heart, namely helping others. 

Brockham Emergency Response Team (BERT) is a volunteer community resilience group – helping the community during floods or other threats, supported by Brockham Emergency Volunteers (BEVs). It also provides a local community email news/alert service for more information visit bertbrockham.org.uk
