Annual Inspection and Awards Ceremony of 1349 (Woking) Squadron
Lord-Lieutenant Cadet – Cadet Warrant Officer Lucas Reeve
The Annual Formal Inspection is our chance as a unit to give people an insight into what we do. It was an early start as we polished off our parade and set up for the day. The guests and VIPs then arrived, and the parade began. It filled me with an enormous sense of pride seeing all the cadets perfectly execute the parade which we had spent months planning and practicing. We then made our way out of the cold and into our displays. We had cadets presenting the various activities we offer such as Shooting, Fieldcraft, Climbing, STEM, First Aid, Archery, and more. And finally, the awards. Where our cadets achievements were recognised and rewarded.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication and commitment of the staff and cadets. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had as a cadet.
