Bloomin’ Arts receive a Surrey Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation

On 13 September, Deputy Lieutenant, Caroline Breckell MVO was delighted to present Lingfield based Arts charity Bloomin’ Arts with a Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation.

Bloomin’ Arts offers opportunities for people with learning disabilities to enjoy, develop skills, perform, and work in the arts and during the COVID-19 pandemic, they quickly and efficiently adapted their services digitally to ensure participants and the wider community stayed connected and creative in an inclusive and accessible way providing vital physical and mental health support.  Staff and volunteers also offered practical support to participants which included sending out art packs, provided telephone support and shopping for those most isolated.

General Manager Hayley Bull said, ‘we are thrilled that Bloomin’ Arts have been awardedd with such a prestigious recognition. The staff and volunteers went above and beyond in supporting our participants through the pandemic.’
