Community Foundation for Surrey welcomes new Chair

Community Foundation for Surrey are delighted to welcome their new Chair, Neelam Devesher DL, who has been a trustee with CFSurrey for a number of years and latterly Vice-Chair.

Neelam has a wealth of experience and insight from her roles as Chair at Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum and the Surrey Hate Crime Scrutiny Panel, and from many years working in senior roles in the public sector.

Sir Denis O’Connor has down as Chair, but pleased that he will remain a Vice-President of the Community Foundation and is committed to helping us continue to support the most vulnerable in our county.

They have also welcomed Ruchika Gupta as the latest recruit to the Board of Trustees. Ruchika is an experienced NHS GP splitting her time between patients, working as a clinical director and deputy Chief Medical Officer for Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Service.

The Community Foundation for Surrey is an independent charitable foundation that brings together people and organisations who wish to give to the community with voluntary organisations providing positive solutions to the many challenges within our communities.

Companies, individuals, families and trusts can establish a fund with the Foundation, which supports a growing programme of grant-making to communities.

The Community Foundation for Surrey is part of a national network of 47 Community Foundations, one of the fastest growing philanthropic movements in the UK. Founded in the heart of local communities, each Community Foundation is unique, identifying local needs and mobilising local resources.
