Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Sam Hibbs attends reopening of Reigate Fire Station

Deputy Lord Lieutenant Colonel Sam Hibbs joined Chief Fire Officer Dan Quin for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the reopening of Reigate Fire Station, following its complete rebuild. Over 500 residents joined Surrey Fire and Rescue Service to celebrate the occasion at a special community event last week.

Designed to meet the needs of a modern fire and rescue service, the new station includes improved facilities for crews, more inclusive welfare spaces and a range of energy-efficient features. The all-electric, solar-powered design supports both local and national net zero ambitions.

The redevelopment has also strengthened opportunities for partnership working, with dedicated facilities and space available for colleagues from South East Coast Ambulance Service.
