Lieutenancy Appreciation Award presentation to Wintershall

On Sunday   4th June, The Lord-Lieutenant visited Wintershall and presented their volunteers with a Lieutenancy certificate of Appreciation.

Peter Hutley (OBE) and Ann Hutley have transformed their estate into the home of open-air performances about the life of Jesus. Their very first Nativity started in a barn in 1989. Now their professional productions, with casts of hundreds, are seen by tens of thousands.

The plays are put on by Volunteers, most of which have been with them for over twenty years, who act, direct, make costumes and sets, look after animals etc, to deliver their message to a wide range of people across Surrey and beyond, and includes and a yearly ‘Passion of the Christ’ play in Trafalgar Square.
