Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation

On 30th September, on behalf of the Lieutenancy, Deputy Lieutenant, Steve Owen-Hughes MBE presented Stanwell Foodbank with a Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation.

Stanwell Foodbank was established in September 2018. After speaking with the community from their sister charity, Stanwell Events, they became aware that households were in need of additional support accessing food.  Since then, they have gone from being a not for profit foodbank, to a registered charity. They have our own community building in Cordelia Park, which is presently undergoing works to include a new kitchen.  From there they help the foodbank and support the community through the present Covid19 crisis and beyond.
