Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation

On 21st November Therese Ricketts, Vicar of St Mary’s Church, Cuddington was presented during the morning service with a Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation by Deputy Lieutenant, Martin Gerrard QPM.

Nominated by the Churchwarden Team, the award was made in recognition of her outstanding leadership and work for the parish, congregation and community throughout the pandemic. The pandemic has put a tremendous amount of extra work on her shoulders in constantly adapting meetings, procedures, services, and risk assessments, and introducing new ways of worshipping together, as well as maintaining the normal running of the parish.  One of the first churches to provide online services, she developed and provided resources to maintain contact with all the parishioners throughout the pandemic.  Throughout she ensured the church remained a major collecting centre for the Epsom and Ewell foodbank.
