Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation presented to Surrey Heath Muslim Association

Soyab Norat, Chairman of Surrey Heath Muslim Association was presented with the Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation by Deputy Lieutenant for ensuring that vulnerable communities have access to the support and help they need for their physical and mental well being. Over the last two years the members of the Surrey Heath Muslim Association have  worked closely with the Camberley All Night Cafe to distribute food and packages to the homeless and vulnerable in the community.  The Association also coordinated volunteers and kept in close touch with vulnerable and those self-isolating to ensure that they are provided the help they need.  In addition the Association set up a hardship fund during the pandemic,  providing financial aid to families finding themselves in severe financial difficulties and to help alleviate immediate worries that they may have. Surrey Heath Muslim Association is supported by SMEF and Neelam and  Soyab are joined by Suzanne Akram Executive Director of SMEF.
