Lord-Lieutenants Awards Ceremony
On Thursday 20th October, South East Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (SERFCA) hosted the prestigious Lord-Lieutenant Award Ceremony at Guildford Cathedral.
Colonel (Retd) Patrick Crowley MBE DL – Chief Executive of SERFCA gave a short presentation about the South East Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association.
The Lord-Lieutenant then presented Meritorious Service Award’s to:
Captain A Keen VR – A Company, 4th Battalion The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment
Sergeant G W Kirchmair – 135 Geographic Squadron Royal Engineers
Squadron Leader T Pearson RAFAC – St Teresa’s School Combined Cadet Force
Petty Officer (SCC) S A Frampton – Farnham Sea Cadet Unit
Petty Officer (SCC) E French – Horsham Sea Cadet Unit
Civilian Instructor L E Whitear – Guildford Sea Cadet Unit
Second Lieutenant S P J Green – Pirbright Detachment, Surrey (PWRR Bn) Army Cadet Force
Squadron Leader L Baxendale RAFAC – Surrey Wing Air Training Corps
Flight Lieutenant B Poulter RAFAC – 1254 (Godalming) Squadron, Surrey Wing Air Training Corps

The Lord-Lieutenant remarked:
‘Huge congratulations are due to the recipients of the awards, I know we are all so impressed by your remarkable dedication to duty, and I salute you for your service and tenacity’
A farewell was then given to outgoing Lord-Lieutenants cadets and presentations made to incoming cadets:

Cadet Sergeant Electra Mykoniatis

The closing address was given by the Lord-Lieutenant who thanked A Company of 4th Battalion Princess of Wales Royal Regiment for their support and to SERFCA for putting on the annual event.
