Oakleaf Enterprise
Mental health charity, Oakleaf Enterprise – which draws clients across Surrey out of isolation and loneliness by providing award-winning mental wellbeing services – has produced an invaluable guide for the general public ‘Keeping mental health a priority during coronavirus’ click here. A winner of The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2017, during the pandemic Oakleaf is still receiving new referrals and providing four daily virtual wellbeing activities for clients (like choir, yoga, tai chi, fitness, art and mindfulness). There are weekly support groups and workshops online (including IT courses); phone check-ins with its Client Services team; and remote professional counselling via video link or phone. Oakleaf is also working with local partners to keep the Guildford Safe Haven open on its site (daily, 6-11pm), for people in mental health crisis. More at www.oakleaf-enterprise.org
