Runnymede Air Forces Memorial 70th Anniversary
On Tuesday 17th October, The Lord-Lieutenant attended the 70th Anniversary of the Runnymede Air Forces Memorial, hosted by the Commonwealth War Graves Foundation.
Opened in 1953 by Queen Elizabeth II, the memorial near Egham, carries the names of more than 20,000 people, commemorating those who were lost during operations from bases in Europe who have no known graves.
