Surrey Investitures

On 9th November the Lord-Lieutenant was delighted on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen to present five Surrey residents with their National Honours at Loseley House in Guildford.

The Lord-Lieutenant those awarded were:

Mr John Hambly OBE

For services to people with disabilities in Surrey and the Home  Counties

Mr Michael Blower MBE   

For services to the community in Farnham, Surrey.

Mrs Amanda Owen MBE   

For services transport particularly during the Covid-19 response.

Mr Robert Thomas MBE

For services to the community in Brockham, Surrey during Covid-19

Mr Maciel Vinagre BEM

For Services to the NHS during Covid-19

Citations were read by Deputy Lieutenant, Major General Tim Sulivan CB CBE and the worthy recipients were joined by The High Sheriff, The Chief Fire Officer, The Chairman of Surrey County Council and Deputy Lieutenant, Robert Napier CBE and Lord-Lieutenants Cadet, Company Sergeant Major Charles Bright.
