Surrey Lieutenancy Sword
On 26 July 2022, Deputy Colonel of The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment (PWRR), Colonel Patrick Crowley MBE DL, presented a Regimental Sword to Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey, Michael More-Molyneux. This was at a special annual gathering of Surrey Deputy Lieutenants (DLs). The Sword has been presented by the Regiment for the use of the Vice Lord-Lieutenant and all DLs when they are on duty in uniform and need to carry a sword. It is inscribed for their use and has Regimental badges on the blade. It marks an important heritage link between the County of Surrey and its local Regiment. All those who carry the Sword on duty will see the connection written on the blade.
