Veterans’ Hub opens in Spelthorne
Spelthorne Armed Forces Partnership and Surrey Fire and Rescue Service have established a veterans’ hub at Fordbridge fire station to enable ex-servicemen and women living in North Surrey and the surrounding area to meet up on a monthly basis. The Hub will act as a drop-in service for ex-servicemen and women and their families and was established by the North Surrey Armed Forces Partnership.
The Hub has a communal garden and allotment and will meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 11am – 1pm to provide an opportunity for ex-service personnel to come together to have a brew and a banter. Support will be on-hand each month from different charities to provide expert advice and to signpost users to appropriate sources of help.
