1st Sealord Cadet – A first at Reigate Grammar School
For the first time in the history of Reigate Grammar School a Cadet from the Royal Navy has been awarded 1st Sealord Cadet. Indeed, early next year, PO Esther W. will be vested onboard HMS Victory (If COVID-19 restrictions allow) and will take up her duties for the year to come. Holding the honour of 1st Sealord cadet is an important one, as Esther will be invited to high profile events to represent the Royal Navy section. We are truly delighted for her and wish her all the best for the year to come.
Here are her first few words: “Upon hearing the news, I was quite shocked, it was not something I was expecting at all. Now that it is sinking in, I am incredibly happy and grateful to my contingent without whom, none of this would have been possible. It was a huge honour to have been nominated for the role, and an even greater one to have been awarded it. This is an amazing opportunity, and I am really looking forward to all it holds, in representing RGS, our CCF Contingent, and my Division.” PO Esther W.
