Shere Surgery and SALV (Shere and Local Villages) receive a Surrey Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation

On 21st July, Deputy Lieutenant Jane Macaulay was delighted to to present  Shere Surgery and SALV (Shere and Local Villages)  with a Surrey Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation.

The Surgery continued to be very much available for their patients. Face to face consultations were available when necessary, use of Askmygp led to virtual triaging which ensured all enquiries were given an initial response very quickly and calls were made regularly to the more vulnerable patients. SALV arranged fundraising as a result a Pharmaself  machine was quickly installed – patients can collect their prescriptions  form outside the surgery without having to go inside and at a time that suits them. The surgery website is very user-friendly and constantly updated. An open evening was arranged addressing issues raised by COVID-19. The local community know exactly what is happening where and how and feel very lucky to have such a community focussed surgery.
