Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation
On 6th October, The Vice Lord-Lieutenant Sir Stephen Lamport presented a Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation to Caroline Edwards, founder of the Oasis Childcare Charity in Cobham, in recognition of the contribution the charity has made throughout the pandemic to vulnerable families and children in serious need.
Their support ranges from the provision of safe playgroups, counselling and practical support of all kinds to the provision of fresh food and shopping. The charity’s method of work had to be carefully adapted during the pandemic to ensure that the vital support it provided was able to continue in the most testing of circumstances. Oasis provides a heart-warming example of a charity determined to meet the needs of those it exists to serve, whatever the challenges.
