Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation presented to Bocketts Farm Park
On Monday 20th December on behalf of the Lieutenancy, Deputy Lieutenant, Michael Hayman MBE presented Bocketts Farm Park with a Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation in acknowledgement of its important role as a place of well-being for families.
Opened in 1992, Bocketts Farm Park near Leatherhead is a working family farm run by the Gowing family. Jane and James Gowing and their 3 children moved to Bocketts Farm in 1990 after sheep farming in the Orkney islands for 5 years and Abergavenny for a further 8 years. When they arrived the farm house and surrounding barns were derelict. They have added acres of outdoor adventure play, indoor play areas including two soft play barns. Bocketts Farm park offers schools visits with tours of the working farm and small animal encounters, as well as a kitchen garden, shop and tearooms.
