Food for front line NHS staff
HRH The Countess of Wessex joined volunteers from the Army’s Cadet Training Centre Frimley Park on Friday 17th April at Frimley Park Hospital. Together they distributed food donations from local businesses and individuals to NHS heroes at the front line of the coronavirus pandemic. Many caring for Covid-19 patients are working long hours and struggle to get provisions from shops. The Countess helped to pack 100+ bags with fruit, vegetables, coffee and treats, which were then presented to grateful hospital staff. She is colonel-in-chief and patron of the QARANC Association, which supports past and serving members of the Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Corps; some corps personnel are based at Frimley Park Hospital.
