‘For the Love of Scrubs’ gets Royal volunteer
HRH The Countess of Wessex made a private visit to volunteer with the Farnham, Aldershot and Guildford hub of ‘For the Love of Scrubs’ – run out of Frensham Heights School – on 3rd June. As well as cutting out scrub trousers, she helped to make face coverings that the group is producing and distributing to volunteer organisations and elderly and vulnerable groups. This community initiative, with more than 400 members including sub hubs, also produces items for local hospitals, frontline workers, GP surgeries, hospices and care homes across Surrey and Hampshire. Talking with the team from Frensham Heights School, plus members of the Churt, Rowledge and Upper Hale sub hubs, The Countess thanked them all for their tireless volunteering and wished them well going forward.
