New Outdoor Learning Facility for Chilworth CofE Infant School
On Tuesday 13th October 2026 Sir Graham Wrigley KCMG DL opened a new outdoor learning facility for Chilworth CofE Infant School with many of the local community present.
The new classroom was named with help from the school’s Eco-Committee who proposed three names to vote for. The Acorn Canopy was the most popular choice.
This new facility will enable all children at school to access the amazing green spaces for hands-on active outdoor learning. In addition, the outdoor classroom is part of the school’s climate resilience and sustainability plans. None of this would have been possible without the award of a grant from Surrey County Council’s Climate Resilience Funding stream.
