Royal opening of Silverwood
The Duchess of Gloucester officially opens the Silverwood Mental Health Inpatient Service at St Peter’s Hospital Campus on March 31, 2026 in Lyne.
During her visit, The Duchess of Gloucester toured the building, met patients and staff, and saw first-hand the range of therapies offered to support people’s recovery.
She took part in a cake decorating session, contributed to the creation of sensory boxes and listened to a music session.
Afterwards, The Duchess of Gloucester also unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark this event.
