University of Surrey rolls out its Covid Assist
The University of Surrey has received daily requests for assistance from organisations, both locally and nationally, since the start of the Covid crisis. The most significant support to date has been provided to its partners at the Royal Surrey County Hospital (RSCH), Surrey Heartlands and to Surrey County Council. This reaffirms the University’s position as an anchor institution within this county and the region. Stepping up efforts to support the NHS to fight the Covid-19 crisis, University staff, final year nursing, midwifery and paramedic students have volunteered to save lives on the frontline, while two anaesthetic machines and four oxygen support systems, plus much needed PPE has been delivered to the RSCH.
